Richard Knopf knows that one’s mind is never too full, and that a person who voluntarily dims the lamp of learning does so at their own peril. As director of ASU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, he devotes his life to designing transformative experiences for older adults. A professor in the School of Community Resources and Development (SCRD) in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions, Knopf demonstrates how embracing new knowledge not only keeps this population feeling fully alive, but helps them gain a stronger sense of purpose and connection.
